Distribution of Wi-Fi Hotspots Across Manhattan Relative to Income Level

Where are Wi-Fi hotspots located in relation to neighborhood income?

Working with ACS and Census data in ArcMap, this project encompassed table joins; querying a GIS feature class based on attributes within its table and based on its spatial relationships to another layer's features; classifying quantitative information within GIS software; working with attribute tables, including adding and calculating new fields and accessing summary statistics.

At a glance, this map illustrates that the spatial distribution of free Wi-Fi hotspots throughout Manhattan are distributed across subway lines across neighborhoods of both high and low income. Notably, there is a large concentration of free Wi-Fi hotspots above Central Park in Harlem as well as in Chelsea.
